The West Coast Rollers, friends and family took the bowling greens of Mowbray on Saturday for our ninth annual Bowls Day.
The day originally started out in 2010 as a fundraiser for the team, and while monies gathered still goes towards tours, functions and kit, it now become much more than that - it is now one of the marquee days of the year.
Ryan Cooper's Just BeClaus team walked away with top honours, beating Cornell Keulder's Cooked outfit off the last ball of the final.
The Peaky Blinders boys walked away with the Best Dressed award, staying in costume the entire day, despite the sun taking its toll at one stage, with Michael van Dewenter's Free Shots and Ruan de Jongh's Respect Our Authori-TIE also won prizes.
Neville Cooper was the big winner when it came to the raffle draw, winning a 50' TV.
Thanks to our main sponsors Cape Style Wines, who once again came to the party with some fantastic prizes and free wine, and also to Jacques Laubscher's Hidros, who sponsored the TV, and who also brought seven teams to the day!
